Adidas Offers James Harden $200M For Endorsement Deal

The most valuable beard in current basketball history has just received a ginormous upgrade. Adidas reportedly offered Rockets guard James Harden a $200 million endorsement contract valid for 13 years to say adios to its rival, Nike.

“The Beard” is coming off a great year, having dominated the NBA in the ugly middle ground – building anticipation while ranking high in ratings with every move. Also, he almost took home the scoring title but came in second behind Russell Westbrook. However, this didn’t stop him from being voted MVP by his fellow players.

Kind of a no-brainer for Adidas to go with Harden since Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry was quickly snatched by Under Armour and Kevin Durant has remained loyal to the Nike brand. It’s also been reported that the Adidas brand has been struggling in sales as of late post D. Rose’s knee injuries.- ranking in third according to the US sports apparel market, right behind Nike and Under Armour.

Ultimately, Adidas’ wise choice to go with Harden is a guaranteed payoff attributed to his celebrity status, flamboyant fashion, and of course his Kardashian connection.*wink-wink*  Did someone say Yeezy? Nike has until the end of next week to match the offer but who will be the higher bidder?  Stay tuned to Snkrbst.com for updates to this story.
