ARTIST LAOLU SENBANJO USES HIS VOICE TO ENCOURAGE MASSIVE VOTING

If the artwork seen above and/or the music video seen below looks familiar to our readers, that’s probably because you’ve seen Nigerian Visual Artist Laolu Senbanjo’s sacred art known as the “Ori” heavily prevalent in Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ (more specifically the “Sorry” video). Not one to rest on his laurels, he’s expanded his brand and extended his talents to now encourage the American public to go out and vote. His ambitious initiative is commended, especially at a time where we Americans rest on the cusp of electing our first woman president. In this music video titled “Mama Africa,” Laolu has encompassed both his artwork and lyrical content to showcase beautiful images of the African diaspora whilst emphasizing the importance of voting. We here at Snkrbst say bravo and encourage all our readers to show your support today by going out to the poles. Make your voice be heard by casting your vote -and don’t forget to #ThinkLikeUs.
