BREAKING NEWS: DAVE CHAPPELLE AND A TRIBE CALLED QUEST TO PERFORM ON SNL

It’s been a whirlwind for SNL (Saturday Night Live) with their last highly rated episodes (i.e. Alec Baldwin’s classic portrayal of Donald Trump, a musical-heavy episode with Lin-Manuel Miranda, and a supremely viral Tom Hanks-hosted episode). And now, off of the heels of that very success, comes the announcement of the year: Dave Chappelle is set to host SNL for the first time with special musical guest A Tribe Called Quest. Chappelle who became a household name with his famous “Chappelle’s Show,” (on Comedy Central) is the same man who famously walked away from all the fame in the mid 2000s. However, in recent years, he has been slowly resurfacing in the stand-up circuit and is quickly regaining the audience he so begrudgingly left behind.

As for A Tribe Called Quest, their performance on the show is in promotion of their latest and final album set to release next Friday. Album is set to feature artists like Jack White, André 3000 and Kendrick Lamar. This new record will explore a new sound and how they’ve all dealt with the death of Phife Dawg. The much anticipated episode is slated for November 12th. Will you be watching?
