Most Expensive Retro: The Jordan 1 “Pinnacle”

2015 marks the 30th anniversary of the Jordan 1 model – and in celebration, the Jordan Brand in set to re-introduce the shoe with a luxurious rendition. The Jordan 1, now known as the “Pinnacle,” features synthetic snakeskin and 24­ karat gold accents. The “MJ23” and “1985” stitching are now adorned  in gold badges on each heel; and a stark white sole compliments its deluxe appeal. Sneaker enthusiasts got a sneak peek at the white color-way version during the All­Star Weekend event. The black color-way version made its debut this past weekend at the Jordan Flight 23 store in Las Vegas. Also, the “Pinnacle” is now being labeled as the most expensive Jordan retro in recent history for its hefty $400 dollar price tag. However, the trajectory of the Jordan Brand lasting 30 years deems this price worthy. The “Pinnacle” is set to release on June 20, 2015 at select retailers.
