Beyoncé is back with new music — and she’s doing it for a good cause.
The singer has jumped on the remix for J Balvin and Willy William’s hit song “Mi Gente,” showing off her Spanish skills and generosity. For her first new material since the June birth of her twins, Beyoncé is pledging all of her profits from the track to hurricane and earthquake relief.
“I am donating my proceeds from this song to hurricane relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and the other affected Caribbean islands” she wrote on Instagram, directing people to learn more and donate at Beyonce.com/reliefefforts.
Meanwhile, Lin-Manuel Miranda is also hard at work on a song to benefit Puerto Rico. Two days after penning a passionate column about the current plight of those affected by Hurricane Maria, the Hamilton mastermind has been teasing a song that will be a “love letter to Puerto Rico.” Ruben Blades and Anthony Ramos are among the artists he’s already recruited.
