Last weekend lower Manhattan was the place to be for the much anticipated Snkrbst’s SoleCon “Holy Grail 2″ competition. This event took place at the DL Diner showcasing the best sneaker reps and aspiring/veteran designers in the tri-state area. Etonic Brand was gracious enough to donate its sneakers for designers to create their own stylistic version to the already popular “Akeem The Dream” colorway. Competitors included FBCC Customs, Relevant Customs, Fly Kicks, and that’s just to name a few. FBCC Customs captured the crowds attention and applause with their “It Was All A Dream” Champ Pack. Their first entry showcased a cork version to the “Akeem The Dream” pair – second entry featured a creative mixture of Coogi’s famous fabric pattern and denim. Second biggest hit with sneaker enthusiasts were Relevant Customs and their amazing display of sneaks – largely focusing on subtle accents. Their entry featured different types of leather on the inner lining, insole and toe-box. SoleChasers. the entire Snkrbst team, and even the famous SoleyGhost were in attendance to show support to these innovative designers and appreciation for sneaker connoisseurs alike. Thank you to all who participated and we look forward to seeing more designers at the next SoleCon.
