#TBT: Nike Air Muscle Max

Are you a sucker for shoes with straps? Well so am I. The Muscle Max was introduced in 1996 and was the best-cushioned, most protective Nike cross-training shoe ever (Go ahead and check). Designed for athletes like Dan O’Brien when training for the decathlon, the Muscle Max looked like a tank, a moon boot especially the all white CW. Some called it weight lifting shoes hence it’s name but that was all great descriptions. The Muscle was a technological marvel. It had a cheese wedge like profile, a unique lacing system with dual adjustable straps that gave you the option to strap at the ankle or strap at the mid foot for lock down support. Such an iconic shoe and has yet to be reintroduced to the world.
