THE AFRO-LATINO FESTIVAL OF NEW YORK

In a time of social turmoil and heart wrenching stories of violence, we as a people desperately need to congregate as a means of peace and solace. This weekend New Yorkers and non-New Yorkers alike are more than welcome to join the festive congregation that is the Afro-Latino Festival. Afro-Lat is a means of education, affirmation, and more importantly, a celebration of culture. Festivities is set to run from July 8th to July 10th. This three-day event is set to feature conferences, culinary presentations, art showcases, emerging entrepreneurs, musicians from all over the globe, and the celebration of the Afro-Latino community. July 8th kicks off the festival with multiple panels of experts ranging from social activism to musicians.. All scheduled conferences will be held at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem. Post all conferences, is a very special performance with a eclectic mix of musicians at the famous SOB’s.
