Being a Brooklyn-born 80’s baby and a 90’s kid, I just might have a genetic predisposition to loving hip-hop music, jerk chicken, Spike Lee movies and Jordan sneakers. Well this week might be one of the greatest weeks of 2013 for me. Earlier today, I destroyed a 3-sectioned styrofoam plate full of jerk chicken and steamed cabbage while watching “She Hate Me” for the 1,217th time. On Tuesday, J. Cole, Mac Miller, Statik Selektah and Kanye West all battle for rap supremecy on Itunes and every music store across the nation. But this weekend, the offspring of the Jordan Spizikes will be released to an online merchant and sneaker store near you. The Jordan Son Of Mars Low “Cement” will be liberated on Saturday, June 22nd.
This white/cement hybrid blends all the beautiful qualities of the Air Jordan III while maintaining some of the signature traits of the Spizikes. The Son of Mars Low flaunts a white leather upper, reflective grey tongue, bold black/grey elephant print overlays and cement speckled print along the midsole. A red Jumpman logo accentuates the look on the tongue, along with a classic black/red Spizike logo to top it off. All in all, these kicks are definitely Jeanius approved.
